As we start a new month we would wish to thank you all for the support you have given our lab this far. We had a buzz of activity in June that was made possible through your support.

We started the month by holding our First Event in partnership with LinkedIn.We had the privilege to host Stewart Samkange who is the LinkedIn Talent Solutions Africa. He shared insights on how to build a strong brand presence on Linkedin to attract the right opportunities. The Event was dubbed #RockYourProfile.

Kaggle Days | Nairobi

In our quest to provide a mentorship platform for aspiring Data Scientists, we were honored to hosting our very first Kaggle days courtesy of Kaggle Days in the Kenya on 6th June. We were glad to have a Kaggle Grand Master Saikumar Allaka within our reach and he shared valuable insights.

Data Science Cohort 4 Successfully Kicked Off

We successfully launched our 4th Data Science cohort on the 2nd Saturday of the month.The cohort has participants drawn from EABL, BAT, Safaricom, Nutrition International, Saracen Media, Palladium, Coke, Kenya Revenue Authority, and Kenya National Bureau of Statistics.
Our program accelerates participants use of artificial intelligence and machine learning to explore questions at the frontiers of human knowledge. These techniques are transforming the Business landscape, and we already see evidence in our earlier cohorts already transformed and we expect their importance will grow rapidly in the years ahead.

Data Clinic for the Kenya Tourism Board

We ran an in-house one week Data Clinic for the Kenya Tourism Board where we worked primarily with the Research department to create tools to aid in the automation of their work.

Executive HR Analytics Training

We wound up the month with a one week executive HR Analytics training courtesy of ABMC International. It had participants drawn from Rwanda, Zimbabwe, Uganda and Kenya.
